Product Overview

Speck is a mobile app that helps you plan group events, track shared expenses, and split costs.

Problem Space

We’ve all been there—splitting a dinner bill and playing a guessing game of
‘Who paid for the appetizer again?’
How much do I owe for that trip to Bali?’

Understanding the Problems

We concentrated on addressing the issues we understood well;
managing and dividing shared costs for users in their 20s and 30s.

We initiated this by conversing with individuals who were experiencing similar difficulties.

Key Pain Points

Sign-up friction

Long, complicated forms led to abandonment.

Expense tracking confusion

Users struggled with complex UIs in casual settings.

Awkward payment requests

Asking for money back was uncomfortable

Solution Approach

Just Enjoy. We'll do the math.

Just add your expenses, and we’ll tell you who owes what.

Easy to use, no complicated financial services, and zero awkward moments.
